Privacy policy

Workdigger is a job search site. You can use it without an account. We collect as little as we can, we don't show ads, we don't use tracking or analytics tools, and we never sell your data.

If you browse without an account

Viewed jobs and opened postings are saved only in your browser (local storage) so the list can show what you have already looked at. They never leave your device.
Your theme choice (light or dark) is saved in your browser in the same way.
You can clear both at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.

If you sign in with Google

Signing in is optional. When you sign in, Google shares these details with us, and we store them:

your name, email address and profile photo link;
your Google account ID, so we recognise you the next time you sign in.

We don't receive your Google password, contacts, files or anything else from your Google account.

While you are signed in, we also store:

Your sign-in sessions: when each one started and was last used, when it expires (after 30 days), and the browser it was used in. The session key itself is stored only in a scrambled form that can't be turned back into the key.
Jobs you viewed and postings you opened, with the time, so your history follows you to other devices. When you sign in, anything your browser saved before is moved to your account and removed from the browser.

Feedback you send

When you use the feedback form, we store your message, the topic you picked, the page you sent it from, the job it is about (if any), your browser type and, if you give it, your email address. If you are signed in, the message is linked to your account. We use feedback only to improve the site and, if you asked, to reply to you.

Technical data

To stop spam, the feedback form counts messages per internet (IP) address for one hour. The address is held only in the server's memory for that hour and is not saved.
Like any website, our servers may keep short technical logs (time, page requested, errors) to keep the site running and secure. They are deleted regularly.

Cookies

We use only cookies the site needs to work, and only for sign-in:

workdigger_session: keeps you signed in, for up to 30 days or until you sign out.
workdigger_oauth: protects the sign-in step with Google, and is deleted after at most 10 minutes.

We don't use advertising, analytics or other tracking cookies.

Who else is involved

Google handles sign-in. Its own privacy policy applies to your Google account.
Our hosting and domain providers run the servers, database and web address the site uses. They process data only to provide that service to us.
Job postings come from company career pages, job boards and channels. When you open a posting or apply, you go to that site, and its own privacy policy applies.

How long we keep it

Account details and your job history: until you ask us to delete your account.
Sign-in sessions: until they expire after 30 days or you sign out.
Feedback: as long as it is useful for improving the site; you can ask us to delete it sooner.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete your account and everything linked to it. To do so, email hello@workdigger.com or use the . We will answer within 30 days.

You can also remove Workdigger's access in your Google account settings at any time; that stops future sign-ins but does not delete what we already store, so please also ask us to delete your account.

Children

Workdigger is meant for people looking for work and is not intended for children under 16.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. For important changes we will also show a notice on the site.
